Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 1

A good friend of mine, Bob, called me up in late 2012 and asked me:

"Would you buy an Integrale for £15k?"

Seemed like a straight question that needed a complicated answer so I gave one. Having previously owned and 8v KAT (which I adored) I was unusually interested in Bobs angle. To cut a long story short, I had been looking at Japanese car auctions for a while and had spotted that there was value in taking a chance and importing one privately.

We both agreed and after finding a good agent (Graham, at www.autotraderimports.com) we eventually were successful in buying the car below. Rated as repaired in Japan (subsequently found to be a very high quality sill repair a common place for cracking on these cars) and with just over 40k miles on the clock, the car even had a full service history showing 1-2k of use per year average. We were lucky.

First pictures below are of it waiting to be shipped, then some pics of it once it was registered, all duties paid (10% import duty on auction price, agents fee and shipping, then 20% VAT on top of that) and a good very complete service (all belts etc.).

We kept the car for a year, then ended up selling it to Walkers in Northallerton who have since sold it twice the last time it was listed at £47,000 - damn!

Great experience, and massive fun.
